During the past two years the School-to-Career Partnership
has offered career days in Attleboro, North Attleboro and Foxboro to
expose students to a variety of career opportunities. The Career Day
Program is tailored to meet the needs and schedule of each individual
school district. A typical career day includes 25 to 50 presenters who
meet with two or three groups of students in a classroom setting for
45 minutes. Students have the opportunity to select two or three career
areas in which they are interested and every effort is made to honor
their selections. We try to recruit presenters from a broad range of
careers and specialties in order to expand the students’ career
awareness. Over 4000 middle and high school students have had the opportunity
to meet with career professionals and to explore their vocational interests.
